Q.I’d like to know about “Saltbush”.
I live in Tallahassee, Fl. I’ve heard that saltbush is loved by Monarch butterflies.I have a large garden and have devoted 30′ to milkweed plants.
I’m also curious about plants that attract giant swallowtails and blue swallowtails.
Thanks in advance,
John holgan

Another plant for black swallowtails is Zizia aurea, Golden Alexander.

Florida insects are most attracted to native plants which they know are safe food sources. Saltbush is an Australian plant that grows where rainfall is less than 10 inches annually. Here is a link to a native plant resource for Florida gardeners. https://www.floridanativenurseries.org/plants/filter
Herbs like dill and parsley attract swallowtails. Here are more plants to consider: https://www.nwf.org/en/Garden-for-Wildlife/Wildlife/Attracting-Butterflies
