Q.isotoma blue star creeper

Zone Elk 95432 | mathew added on October 8, 2016 | Answered

Planting in area that gets late afternoon sun. Will plant in four inch squares about twelve inches apart in a fertilized twelve inch circle, and water thoroughly after planting then water every other day for about two weeks, then water once per week thereafter. Area will NOT be walked upon. Any other planting or care taking instructions or ideas? Temperature moderate: summer highs in 70’s, winter lows above freezing.

That sounds like a good plan! It should do well in your climate. I am assuming you are using small plants and not seeds. If planting from seed it may need even more frequent (daily) watering for 7-14 days to ensure germination. After establishment the plant is quite drought tolerant.
