These trees can produce invasive roots up to 1 and a half times the length of the tree's branches. With this being said, these trees can grow about 40 feet wide. I would plant them, at least, that far from the drive. Unfortunately, this tree has an invasive root system, and is not suited for planting near concrete or systems that could be destroyed by the roots.
