Q.I Want A Lawn Alternative, But Bees Are An Issue.

Full sun. small front yard. Grass ripped up by crows to get supergrubs. My neighbor keeps bees. The bees carpet my herbs when in bloom. Wildflowers a no-go because of neighbors not wanting them to invade their lawns. What can I use? Your site suggests microclover has no flowers, but the link to more info on microclover says it DOES have flowers. Help!

Microclover has fewer flowers, but it will flower. You could mow it as soon as buds appear if you want to try it. Most groundcovers that I found flower at some point, especially for full sun.

Mondo grass doesn't flower till fall, and you could mow it when that starts. That should be the only time you would need to mow it. Mondo grass will grow in sun or shade.

There are some varieties of lamb's ear (Stachys byzantina) that do not bloom. ('Silver Carpet')

If you want to get rid of the grass because of the grubs, you can try milky spore:
