Q.Pepper/Tomato Plant Problem

jmk added on June 26, 2011 | Answered

I used 5-10-10 around my pepper/tomato plants several days ago. The plants are drying up and losing all their leaves. What can I do to stop this?

You may have burned the roots. Before applying fertilizer, always make sure that you water the plants well so they don't try to take up too much of it. Give them a good, deep drink of water. This will help flush the fertilizer out and dilute it some.
