Q.ammonia soaked cotton balls to keep dogs away

Anonymous added on July 11, 2015 | Answered

I tried the ammonia soaked cotton balls to keep dogs off my lawn to no avail. Do you have a recommended spacing between balls? What spacing should I put ammonia soaked cotton balls for them to be effective?

There is really no spacing requirement for these. Just place them around the general area in which you want to keep the dog out. If you have tried this and it has not helped, you may need to look into other options. While many dogs are repelled by chili pepper powder, my dog actually loves it. So it may be helpful to try different tactics until you find one that works for your situation.
