I transplanted 4 healthy Rose of Sharon trees 5 days ago. I have given water early in the morning and in the evening every day. On

e plant has caught on very well but the other 3 have slowly turned yellow and look like they are dying. Also they have hundreds of yellow ants in the soil around them.Did the ants cause this …and is it possible they have gone dormant and will come back in the spring?

The best time to transplant a Rose of Sharon, is when they are dormant. Early spring would be the optimum time.

Durning the summer, while they are actively growing transplanting can be too stressful. Your plants sound like they are very stressed. Pests in soil can add to the stress.
I would continue the daily water; water slowly and deeply. Soil should be moist but not soggy.
You can add 3 to 4 inches of hardwood mulch around the plant to keep roots cool and moist.
