Fig Tree

Seedling Fig Tree

m.dupin added on April 10, 2015 | Answered

I received a seedling fig tree through the mail and it really looks bad. Can I prune it so it can develop a root system? It is about 6 inches tall. The whole tree looks limp. What should I do?

Given the small size of your fig tree (6 inches) I would not recommend pruning it.
I would recommend getting it in the ground (or pot) as soon as possible following the instructions that were hopefully supplied to you with your fig tree. The tree will probably perk up after it is in the ground with a little TLC.
