Q.I Pulled Up My Turmeric And Most Of It Is A Strange Bulb Shape

There are one or two normal looking pieces and then a lot of bulb shaped things. Just wondering if the bulb shapes are still edible or what they are. Thank you

The rhizomes, what you are used to seeing, are the active growing portion of the root. Those larger tubers are nutrient storage. Both are edible, and part of the same plant.
