Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI planted a lilac shoot 2 years ago. How many years does it take to flower? Should I have pruned even though no flowers appeared? I live in Topeka, KS. It’s at the NE corner of my house so after reading the article here, I think I should move it to get more sun. Thank you for any advice. Martha

Depending on the variety most will bloom after 3 or 4 years and some can take 6 to 7 years.
