I Planted A Basham Party Pink Crepe Myrtle March 2021. It Has Grown Maybe 3-4\

ard clay. I fertilized it in March of this year and keep it watered. It’s in full sun. I expected a lot more growth, since it is supposed to be a fast growing tree. Any thoughts as to what could be wrong, or what I can do to help it?

Likely, it is the hard clay. I would opt to create a mulch bed, and add or invite earthworms to the area. This is the best, and easiest, way to loosen up compacted soils.
