Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy agg service says I have very poor soil and I need a 10-5-10 fertilizer for bahia grass, but I have no idea how to manage peppers. I have used potting soil and Miracle Gro for tomatoes with succcess and Sevin dust to control bugs and blossom end rot mixed in with the fertilizer. Is it OK to use this same concoction for bell, anahym, banana and sweet red peppers?

For vegetables, you want a balanced fertilizer (e.g. 10-10-10 or 20-20-20). Lawn fertilizers are high in nitrogen, which makes for lush growth but little fruit. A balanced fertilizer will ensure good growth and good fruiting.
