Q.I Need Help Identifying What Is Causing This Discoloration On My Cherry Tomato Plants

Zone 06514 | Anonymous added on June 5, 2024 | Answered

It’s only been a week since we planted these cherry tomatoes in our garden and the leaves started to look discolored. I can’t tell if it’s a fungus or bacteria? I will include pictures of the plant and some leaves I took off of it. Thank you so much!

Make sure your plants are in full sun. Water the roots, not the leaves.

Prune off the leaves with spots up to one-third of the plant. Keep water from splashing the leaves when you water. You can apply a fungicide for tomato leaf spots but it will only slow the spread of the disease. Apply mulch under the plants to prevent soil borne diseases splashing up on the leaves.
