Q.blue spruce losing needles
I live in Southern Illinois. I have a blue spruce that is about 15-16 years old. It was healthy and growing good until last year. I started noticing that it was losing its needles. I looked up into the tree and noticed that it doesn’t appear to be regrowing the needles. Any idea what the problem could be?
Your tree may have developed a canker or the white pine weevils are a known insect that can cause damage to Blue Spruce.
I'm listing a few links for you that may give you more help in identifying the cause.
You may need a professional arborist to examine the tree for correct diagnosis.
