root bound lily plant

I just replanted my root bound lily but the leaves were still green. It has been fair days and the leaves are quickly turning yellow. Do I let it dry out or water more or what? It was doing better in its dried up, barely there soil! I thought it would love the nice fresh soil. It is indoors.

Sometimes a plant is happier being root bound.

You may have chosen to large of a pot, going up only 1 or 2 inches larger in pot size is recommended.

Feel the soil, it is damp, soggy or dry? Only water when the top inch or so has dried out.

Does the pot have a good drainage hole? The water needs to be able to drain out of the pot. Roots sitting in wet soil will likely cause root rot.

You will need to wait and see on this plant, it seems the majority of your plant is affected.
