I Just Rec’d An Order Of Creeping Thyme. It Is In Form Of Dry Dirt And Roots. How Can I Keep It To Plant In The Spring?

I am in zone 5. its too late to plantnow. how can i take care of the plant until spring? I tried to upload the picture, but guess i dont know how, it looks like a bag of dry dirt with dry skinny roots sticking out.

Plant it in a container, water it, and keep it overwinter in your garage. Only water about once a month till spring and you can plant it outside.
