I just put in new sod and my dog urinates on it

I just put in new sod and my dog urinates on it and the spot dies. What should about it so that my lawn won’t die? Please help me. Thanks.

I would also suggest if you determine that it is actually your dog causing the problem, hosing the area where the urine is will dilute it and help to wash it away.
