Q.getting rid of sap

Zone I don't know what a gardening zone is, and I live in van Nuys , ca! | dianaemendoza added on October 6, 2015 | Answered

I have three trees that are dripping sap. I assume from the leaves. It is nuisance and it adheres to everything. How can I get this sap off the concrete and possibly prevent my trees form producing so much? The sap looks like blood drops on the concrete and all the leaves are covered in it! Help! Thanks!

Your trees likely have an infestation of insects.

This is causing what you are calling sap.

It is actually Honeydew.

You can treat the trees with Neem Oil.
With multiple trees and the size of your trees you may want to have a professional Arborist treat the trees.
