Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have small black mite looking bugs on my peas. Any thoughts? Peas are 5 weeks old and small black looking mites on leaves and stem. Can be wiped off with hand. Co-op says to use pyrethrin.

Without a photo, it’s hard for me to identify the insect, but I am going to assume it’s spider mites. Here are some articles that will tell you how to tackle this pest. Pyrethrin is an option, however, and these articles will give you additional options:
