Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have red leaf maple trees that are young with small trunks about 3 inches in diameter. The problem is that they’re top heavy and causing the trees to bend. Should we cut the tops out or should we stake them?

Do not cut the top off of your trees.
Staking would be the best approach.
