Q.I Have Many Yucca Plants in Backyard Pots

berta added on August 23, 2012 | Answered

All of a sudden several of them have started to lose leaves and have turned black in the center. It has been real hot and I have been watering them daily but since this started I have slowed down on the watering. Help, because I don’t want to lose them! All of them have several groups in them and not all are doing this. . . . Thanks.

It may have root rot. Root rot is normally caused by over watering. Yucca plants only need watering once the soil has dried. This article will help determine if this is indeed the problem and what you can do about it: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/disease/treating-root-rot-gardening-tips-for-housplants.htm
