Q.replanting after felled tree

DonnaStables added on August 22, 2015 | Answered

I have had a Chestnut tree felled and the stump ground out in early June. I would like to know when I can start planting shrubs and the best soil to use in the area. Donna (Titchmarsh)

This fall would be a great time to plant out new shrubs.
I would use this time leading up to planting to get the ground ready.
A soil test is a great first step to know what your soil may or may not need.

You local country extension office can help you with a soil test.
The location and soil will determine the type of shrubs that will be successful in your yard.

I'm listing a few links for you to help you get started.
