Q.I have green looking caterpillar worms eating up my shrubbery tree. What is it and how can I save the tree?

My tree is covered with the worms and part of tree has turned brown and its an evergreen type shrub. Does that mean the tree is dead and should be removed. What are the worms? Scary.

Your photo didn't come through but I wonder if it is bagworm bags? They emerge in late May or June and begin eating the foliage. Do you have the telltale little bags on your evergreen?
