Q.tomato plants growing in whiskey barrels

Zone Bay St. Louis, MS | whstamps added on June 20, 2015 | Answered

I have four tomato plants growing in four separate whiskey barrels that we purchased this spring. The same for barrels purchased last year, and many others planted in raised garden. They are all on timers delivering the same amounts of water at basically the same time of morning. Basically everything is the same but the tomatoes in the new barrels turn black on the bottom of the tomato making them inedible. Any suggestions?

Your tomatoes are suffering from Tomato blossom end rot.
Here is a link that explains this and how to deal with the issue.
