Q.I Have An Area By The Back Door That Is Extremely Moist And Gets NO Sun.

Zone Pittsburg, NH 03592 | Anonymous added on October 24, 2022 | Answered

What kind of perennials could I plant that would absorb the moisture? It is a narrow strip (about 12″ wide) along the side of the back part of the garage. I guess it is about 10′ long, but I haven’t measured it. The part furthest from the door may get some sun, but it would be minimal. I would prefer something with flowers, but that is now essential, I will accept anything that will absorb the moisture.

Consider/research Ostrich Fern, False Goat’s Beard (Astilbe), Sweet Woodruff and/or mid-to-late blooming Hostas.
