Zone Jedburgh, TD8 | Anonymous added on May 22, 2021 | Answered

I have struggled on for years with sprays and black membranes but have finally had to admit defeat and this will be the first season I haven’t grown vegetables for 30 years. Any advice would be apreciated

Have you used a non-selective weed killer containing glyphosate? It's time to bring out the big guns if you haven't. I would weed eat them shorter so application is easier.

You may want to start new raised beds and buy packaged garden soil for the dirt or buy bulk topsoil and add compost or manure. Do not use any of your contaminated soil in the new beds. You can always start small and add more later.
