Q.I Have A Wild Climbing Rose Bush At The End Of The Garden. But Something Seems To Be Attacking The Buds?

Zone Nashua NH | tbarnico@gmail.com added on June 23, 2023 | Answered

I have a wild climbing rose bush that has had some loverly small pink blooms on it. But then some of the buds seem to have a brown rotten texture to them. Thought at first it could be too much rain. But now it seems to be happening to most of the blooms. It is a loverly fragrant rose that I would like to save.

This reminds me, quite a bit, of Botrytis fungus! This will require fungicides, but will require some other careful control, as well. This article will go over what needs to be done next:
