Brown Turkey Fig Trees

Q.I have a turkey fig tree, young about 2 years old, the problem is that the branches break by themselves, Why?

Anonymous added on September 21, 2020 | Answered

We planted the fig tree 3 and 1/2 years ago.
This year I fertilized the tree with three fertilizer sticks 10-10-10
The tree grew very fast and produced a lot of figs.

Problem: Two weeks ago, one thick branch about (1.5 inches diameter)just broke by itself and a second one thinner and higher up also broke.

Today I noticed a third one broke. WHY?

It's possible your tree was over-fertilized, making the branches brittle. I'm pasting links here for two articles that may help. It's likely the tree needs some pruning.
