Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a tree. Don’t know what kind. Everything points to a dogwood but I know for sure it is not.
It developed small brown spots on the leaves. Within 2 weeks they got bigger and the leaves are starting to die. I can’t figure out what it is or how to care for it. Please help.

What you can do about it depends on both what kind of tree you have, and what disease it is. It could be a fungus, a bacterial disease, or a virus. If you take some samples of the leaves to the nearest Agricultural Extension Service office, they will be able to tell you both what kind of tree it is, what disease it has, and what can be done. The Extension Service is operated by the state, and is a service free to citizens. This link will help you locate one: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/extension-search/ [1]
