hydrangea not blooming

Question

I have a tickled pink hydrangea shrub that had a few blooms on it the first year it was planted. This is its second year and the shrub has tripled in size and looks very healthy. It is late July and I see no sign of flowers yet. Does it not bloom the second year? Should I give it special fertilizer? Was hoping to have beautiful flowers this year.
