There is no mention of what type of violet plant you have but this information below should help. I suspect at this time of year you have a viola or pansy. If you have a viola or a pansy, it is a cool season plant and will flower in fall and, if it survives winter, again in the spring. Newer varieties may bloom longer. Old fashioned violets are spring bloomers but may bloom again in the fall. They all self seed so you should see them again.
