Sago Palm indoors

I have a Sago Palm indoors. It has produced long shoots, approx. 3 1/2 feet, with leaves opening at the ends. Should these shoots be cut off in order for the palm to produce more palm leaves? Sago Palm was purchased approx. 4 years ago.

The pups can be cut off. See the link to help you with this.
