potted tomato plant with bottom end rot

How do I treat this? I have lost several tomatoes off of this plant and want to avoid losing anymore. I read of using crushed antacid tablets to the soil will alleviate this problem. Is this true?

Tomato blossom rot is caused by calcium deficiency and crushed antacid tablets contain calcium, so I believe that it would be a viable solution.
