Q.I Have A Long Stem Rose From Florist That Has Sprouts Like New Growth, Can That Be Planted And Would Grow

It is possible to root already cut stems but you must get started before the plant fades. Are there already roots coming out of the bottom of the stem? If so, you can plant it in a pot of moist potting soil. If not, you can try rooting the stem by cutting off the stem below a leaf node and cutting off the bloom. Remove the leaves at the leaf node. Place the stem in moist potting soil and cover it all with a plastic bag to create a mini greenhouse. Keep the soil moist till roots form. If it does form roots you can plant it outside in the spring.
