I have a lime tree that I bring inside for the winter

I live just south of Atlanta. Could I plant this tree and, if so, when should I do this? Can I prune this tree now?

I would not recommend planting a lime tree outside in your zone (zone 7b). It actually might make it for a year or two, but you will eventually have a cold spell in your area that will kill it.

You can prune it when you bring it in. Do not cut it back by more than 1/3 though.
