Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a indoor 5-year old Washington Navel Orange that has not ever bloomed. I was wondering what I can do to have it produce blooms, then oranges? It is outside from April to the first week or two of October, then I move it inside.
I have the soil at the right pH and the alkalinity and nitrogen levels are correct. I use EB stone citrus fertilizer and water it correctly. The tree is in good health and has lots of new growth.
It has 800 watts of metal halide light at 12 hrs a day. Temperature indoor is 60 at night and 65 to 70 during the day. Zip code is 66062, I believe it is zone 5B.

Getting a tree to fruit indoors is not easy, as I’m sure you know. One thing that might be going on is that you’re tree is not old enough to bear fruit. Another is that it really needs sunlight; metal halide is not a substitute for sunshine.
