Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWhat do I do with it in the winter? I live in Navasota, which is northwest of Houston. I am concerned that the tree might not be happy when it gets into the freezing temps. I was told that the tree could grow in the Houston area, but am concerned about the freezing weather. It doesn’t stay freezing more than a day or two at a time What can I do to keep the young tree alive?
Please advise.

If this has been planted in the ground it will not winter over if temperatures are below 40 degrees F.
If you have this tree in a pot you can move to a sheltered location and add some insulating material around the base of the pot.
Here is a link with care information.
