Q.braided Hibiscus tree

Zone new york state | terrilee45 added on July 21, 2015 | Answered

I have a braided Hibiscus tree with lots of blossoms. However, lately I’ve noticed the leaves are turning yellow and falling off. What am I do wrong? Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? They have excellent sunlight, and I water a few times a week. I just don’t know what to do.

Yellowing leaves can be a sign of a watering issue, either to much or to little.
Container plants generally will need more water, daily and even twice a day if temperatures are above 85 degrees.
Inspect the plant for insects and treat with Neem Oil if you see any evidence.
Here are a few links for you that should help you pinpoint the issue.
