Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comself. I have just replanted it in a new wooden planter with some fresh compost and drainage. It is now out of shape and too tall f or the balcony. Can I trim it now or is this too soon after replanting or should I leave it until next year maybe? Any tips on recovering my box hedge. I intend to water it well over the summer with regular feeds but would like advice on best time to prune especially after replanting this year?

Wait a couple of weeks to let it recover from the replanting before pruning. Boxwood can be trimmed any time of year except late fall.
