Q.I Have A Box Hedge In A Planter Surrounding My Balcony. The Planter Which Was Wood Rots And My Box Hedge Looked Very Sorry For It

Zone Fk20rh | Anonymous added on June 14, 2021 | Answered

self. I have just replanted it in a new wooden planter with some fresh compost and drainage. It is now out of shape and too tall f or the balcony. Can I trim it now or is this too soon after replanting or should I leave it until next year maybe? Any tips on recovering my box hedge. I intend to water it well over the summer with regular feeds but would like advice on best time to prune especially after replanting this year?

Wait a couple of weeks to let it recover from the replanting before pruning. Boxwood can be trimmed any time of year except late fall.
