Q.I Have A Black Thumb And A Plant That Needs Help!
I am horrible with plants and managed to kill a cactus recently. I don’t know what this is (thinking a philodendron?) This plant is about 6 years old and I started taking care of it about 4 years ago, it had been growing on the floor, so I moved it up on a stand and put the vines around that bench as you can see, but all of the old vines have pretty much lost their leaves and it’s starting to tip over. I am pretty sure it needs re-potted and trimmed back, but I don’t want to kill it as it was from my husband’s, 16 yr old daughter’s funeral. Please help me! And if your suggestion is to take it to someone to re-pot it, I will do that too. Thank you!

They are pretty resilient so I don't think you can hurt it. I would cut it almost to the pole. The vines that you cut off can be cut into smaller pieces and put in glasses of water to root. You can then share with others. It also wouldn't hurt to replace the potting soil.
I would also remove any dead stems or leaves.
