Q.I Have A A Problem With A Small Black Grub On My Shrub

I have a white flowering shrub that has a light orangey berry when it’s finished flowering. For the. Last two years I have had avery small black grub which eats all the leaves. Could you advise how to get rid of this. Mi do not know the name of the shrub. I can upload an image of the shrub tomorrow but it is not in flower yet. Thank you.

It could be black cutworms! These terrible creatures will destroy plants and shrubs. They can be quite difficult to get rid of. I like to recommend a nifty little bacterium called Bacillus thuringiensis. It is harmless to us, but will destroy them, naturally.
