tulip bulbs

I have 50 or so tulip bulbs that were just dug up. The green leaves are still attached. What should be done with the bulbs before planting them in the fall?

Allow the bulbs to dry out and store in a cool dry location until fall for replanting.
Once the leaves have dried you can trim them off.
