Crepe Myrtle Trees

Q.I have 2 very tall Crepe Myrtle trees that are 20′ tall

The trees were overtaken for many years. After clearing the invaders, the trees seem to be very stout and healthy. When do I prune and fertilize? How do I prune?

They generally do not need fertilizer, but it will not hurt to give it some if you want. If you do fertilize, use a balanced fertilizer (10-10-10).
