Sago Palms Bordering My Front Walk

I have two sago palms bordering my front walk–one on each side. One is larger than the other. As they put out fronds, can I trim the fronds of the larger one to stunt its growth until the other one catches up?

You can lightly trim it back but bear in mind that these green fronds will not grow back. It is either moss or lichen. Here is an article that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/sago-palm/prune-sago-palm.htm [1]
