Covering Tray With Newspaper for Darkness, Is This Okay to Do?

I have my seedlings placed on low heat covered with plastic wrap. I also cover the tray with newspaper for darkness. Is this correct?

This is fine until seeds sprout. The sprouted seeds will need light to live.
