I bought a parlor plant off the 50% off table, the pot has what looks like tree bark on the top of the soil, do I leave it alone or

repot it? I don’t know how to send pictures.

Without knowing seeing pictures OR without a detailed description of the plant size, size of the container that it is in, the type of soil, or all other details it will be very difficult to tell you whether it needs to be repotted or not.
