I am looking for a way to easily grow ground cover over bark chunks.

I have the large bark chunks in my flower beds. Without normal planting, is there any fast growing ground cover I could start with seeds? I have some back and hip and shoulder problems and really do not want to move bark out of the way, and plant small plants. Thank you.

Many groundcovers will start from seed, even through bark.
