Zone Jacksonville, Florida 32225 | banei@live.com added on January 6, 2014 | Answered

I am in zone 8b. It is getting down to 25 degrees tonight. How do I properly cover my roses? They are 2 years old and have done well this summer. Has been temperate to hot and rainy most recently. Thank you.

At 25F, they should be ok still. But, if you want to make double sure, you can wrap them in twinkle lights and then cover them with a blanket (cloth, not plastic) or you can fill jugs with hot water and place them under the blanket. Make sure you remove the blanket in the morning.
