I Am Growing What Is Known As “Bhudda’s Hand” It Is Now At Least Five Years Old, It Was From A Broken Branch And I Put It In

the ground not knowing whether it would grow or not. It sat dormant for some time and after about 1yr it started to sprout a leaf or two so I planted it out in the ground with other succulents. I must have put it in the right place because today it has grown to 2 (two) metres tall with 3 – 4 side branches When do you think I might see fruit growing on it. Is there an age they need to grow too to start to fruit.? What say ye.? Thanks Graham Hallam Hamilton, New Zealand

If the parent tree was of fruiting age, then yours is likely fruiting age as well.

What will determine fruiting now will be root ball size and care. Since it has recently started to grow, actively, I would say that it can be in as little as 1 year from the start of active growth.

Proper care will be the way to ensure that this tree will produce soon. Here is an article that will help:
